Tift County welcomes American Textile Company with open arms! A Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held at the new pillow manufacturing facility on April 26th. There was a large crowd present for tours, the ceremony and a wonderful luncheon catered by B.J. Smith with the Event Planners catering company. Mayor Cater, Senator Crosby, Congressman Austin Scott, State Representative Tony McBrayer,Chamber President Brian Marlowe as well as many other local business leaders and top executives of American Textile were present for this event. This is the 4th manufacturing facility for American Textile in the United States! The State of Georgia and The Tift County Development Authority were large financial contributors to the effort in getting them up and running. The company had a vision when they arrived in Tifton and moved quickly to bring tht vision into operation. We are very thankful to have them here and contributing to the effort of employing the residents of Tift County!!
