Location

Tift County is in the “sweet spot” in South Georgia. Just one hour north of the Florida line, two hours from the East Coast and two hours south of Atlanta, when you’re in Tifton, you can get there from here. The central location makes Tift County attractive for its residents and businesses.

Transportation

Interstate 75 runs through the heart of Tift County, one of the major North-South thoroughfares in the United States and runs from the northern tip of Michigan to southern Florida. In Tifton, I-75 intersects with U.S. Highway 82, the major four-lane east-west artery across Southern Georgia. Highway 82 runs from Columbus to Brunswick where it intersects with Interstate 95. Also, U.S. Highway 319 links with Interstate 75 and is the major four-lane route to Interstate 10 in Tallahassee, Florida.

Available land

The Tift County Development Authority owns land throughout the county and is able to help meet the needs of industries with a multitude of resources. The Magnolia Industrial Park is the heart of Tift County’s manufacturing center and in 2015, the Tift County Development Authority opened the Magnolia Industrial Park Phase II, giving prospects more options to meet their needs.
