At the Chamber’s February Membership Meeting, the STAR Students and Teachers from Tift County High School and Tiftarea Academy were honored.

Calvin Chee was this year’s winner from Tift County High School and he selected Gloria Beard as his STAR Teacher. From Tiftarea, Kendall Rowe and Natalie Yaeger tied for the honor. Rowe selected Jon Koran as her STAR Teacher while Yaeger chose Natalie Rippy as her STAR Teacher.

All of the winners received plaques from Tift Regional Health System and the STAR Students also received checks for $50 from First Community Bank. The winners advance to the regional competition where they will be honored at a banquet in Valdosta in March.
