The Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce’s first job fair was a huge success!
The event, which was held on August 26, welcomed more than 40 Chamber members who were looking for employees to the Tift County Recreation Department gym on victory Drive.
“We were really blown away by the turnout,” said Chamber President Melody Cowart. “We wanted to find a way to connect businesses with job seekers, and help both our members and people in the community.”
Cowart said that she saw a need for an event like this and wanted to get the Chamber involved in helping the community.
“Our local community businesses, large and small, are in need of employees,” Cowart said. “This is just a small way to give back to our community. We are here to do what we can for our community and our local businesses, to help get them back to where they want to be.”
