Emerging Young Leaders
The Emerging Young Leaders program is designed to develop leadership potential in eighth-grade students across Tift County. Each year, schools select 50 students to participate: 20 from Northeast Middle, 20 from Eighth Street Middle, and 10 from Tiftarea Academy.
Students attend sessions throughout the school year that expose them to leadership roles in business, agriculture, healthcare, education, and more. The program focuses on personal growth, career exploration, and community involvement.The year concludes with a graduation ceremony celebrating their achievements.
Leadership Tift
What is Leadership Tift? Leadership Tift is a Chamber program that equips current and future leaders with a deeper understanding of Tift County’s challenges, diversity, and opportunities. Graduates are empowered to engage, lead, and make a lasting impact in the community.
What can Participants Expect? Leadership Tift is a 10-session program starting in January that develops leadership skills and community insight. Ideal for motivated individuals ready to engage, learn, and lead in Tift County.
Time Commitment - Leadership Tift runs January to December, beginning with a kickoff and followed by monthly sessions, ending with a graduation. Full attendance is required, and participants must sign an attendance agreement.
What is the Cost? Tuition is $1200, payable by the participant, employer, or a sponsor, and due before the January kickoff. Fees cover program costs such as speakers, transportation, meals, and administration.
Who Should Apply? Applicants should be a part of an organization/business or an individual that a chamber member and is looking to enhance their leadership development.
